Liverpool vs Real Madrid Champions League Final Match Report-2018

Gareth Bale scored twice including a brilliant overhead kick as Real Madrid defeated Liverpool 3-1 to win their third straight Champions League final at Kiev.

The Reds lost their star player Mohamed Salah in the first half with a shoulder injury.

Liverpool Goalkeeper Loris Karius in the second half gifted Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema the opening goal in the 51st minute.

Sadio Mane in the 55th minute quickly equalised to bring the Reds back on track.

Bale in the Champions League final made his mark with a magnificent overhead kick to put Real Madrid with a 2-1 lead.

Karius in the 83rd minute suffered further embarrassment when he let Bale’s late strike from range slip through his gloves.

With this Real Madrid became the first team to win the European Cup/Champions League in three successive seasons since Bayern Munich between 1974 and 1976.
