Crystal Palace vs Liverpool Match Report- 2018

Liverpool in the second half scored twice, as they defeated Crystal Palace 2-1 at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

Mohamed Salah late goal in the 84th min handed Liverpool’s manager Jurgen Klopp victory in his 100th Premier League match.

Luka Milivojevic in the 13th min gave Crystal Palace an early lead before Sadio Mane in the second half equalised just after half time to draw Liverpool on level terms by steering home James Milner’s low cross from the left.

They are now second in the table with 66 points, while Chelsea have slipped to fifth position with 56 points, with the qualification for the next season Champions League very firmly in their grasp.

Sadio Mane in the first half was unlucky not to win a penalty, but also escaped with a red card in the second half.

Crystal Palace opening chance with Wilfried Zaha finding space in the area, was denied brilliantly by Loris Karius.

Virgil van Dijk’s free header from a corner appeared to be heading in, but Sadio Mane flicked the ball wide.

Christian Benteke Liolo in his 9 appearances had 7 goals against former club Liverpool, wasted 2 opportunities to put Crystal Palace back in front.

Liverpool having played 2 games extra are one point ahead of Manchester United.

Salah also equalled Didier Drogba’s record of most goals (29) scored by an African player in a single Premier League Season.
