Mohamed Salah scored four goals as Liverpool moved up to third spot in the Premier League table by crushing Watford 5-0 at Anfield.
Liverpool took an early lead the fourth minute, courtesy Salah who got Jurgen Klopp’s side off to a fine start at Anfield courtesy of an excellent run and finish.
The second goal came just before first half from Salah, who scored from close range, thereby taking his tally of goals to 36 , the most any player has managed in a debut campaign for the Reds.
He then set up Roberto Firmino’s clever flick to give Liverpool their third goal, and then added two late strikes to complete the rout.
With this win Liverpool are seven points ahead of Chelsea, who are now places at fifth position.
They also remain unbeaten at home in the Premier League this season.
This was Watford’s second successive defeat.
Salah become the first Liverpool player to score four times in a single game since Suarez against Norwich City in December 2013.
Watford’s only moment came when Roberto Pereya’s free kick went onto the top of the crossbar in the 52nd minute.
The Reds are placed in the third position in the table. Tottenham Hotspur next match will be against Chelsea who are placed in the fifth spot.
