Goals from Shkodran Mustafi, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan helped Arsenal beat Watford 3-0 at Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners missed a golden chance to take the lead when Mesut Ozil found Aubameyang but the striker fired straight at keeper Orestis Karnezis.
Richarlison shot into the side netting for Watford before Arsenal made the breakthrough after eight minutes when Ozil’s cross was powerfully headed home by Mustafi.
Arsenal began the second half brightly,courtesy Granit Xhaka had a long-range shot stopped by Karnezis, and later Cech was relieved as a Watford corner flew dangerously across his six-yard area with none of the players able to get a touch.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the 77th minute fired in a third from the edge of the box for his first Premier League goal for the Gunners.
With the win Arsenal move to within 10 points of the top four.
