Watford took the lead in the 8th minute when striker Stefano Okaka headed in Roberto Pereyra’s corner. Liverpool who had hardly had a kick till then, found themselves on level terms in the 29th minute when Emre Can’s sensational flick picked out Sadio Mane, who curled the ball into the top corner. Watford regained the lead soon after through Abdoulaye Doucoures, who scored in the 32nd min. They also suffered a massive blow when they lost Roberto Pereyra to injury. The Argentine was replaced by Richarlison (who made his Premier League debut), but it resulted in a massive loss of momentum for the Hornets. During the second half, strikes from Roberto Firmino (54 pen) and Mohamed Salah (57) saw the visitors turn the game on its head. However Miguel Britos scored a late goal which helped the home side pick up a point against Jurgen Klopp’s men.
