Championship side Charlton Athletic have signed Reading striker Leroy Lita on a twenty day long loan. Opportunities have been limited for the Congo born striker at the Madjeski and he now joins fellow Royal Sam Sodje at the Valley. Sodje is on loan at the club, and so are Greg Halford, Lee Cook and Scott Sinclair.
The Addicks are currently fifth in the Championship, nine points adrift of leaders Bristol City. Barring Scottish striker Chris Iwelumo, nobody at the Valley has moved into double digits in the goal scoring department this season. Iwelumo is currently at 10, followed by Darren Ambrose and Zheng Zhi at nine. Fellow strikers Luke Varney and Svetoslav Todorov have seven and three to their names respectively.
Lita has lambasted Steve Coppell for the lack of first team opportunities at Reading.
Charlton have some important fixtures coming up, with PNE, West Brom, Wolves, Burnley and Ipswich all slated to meet the Addicks this month .
