Sam Williamson joins Wrexham on loan
Manchester City’s 21 year old defender Sam Willamson has joined Blue Square Premiership side Wrexham on loan till January. Williamson joins Cypriot midfielder Angelos Tsiaklis at the Racecourse Ground. Tsiaklis, who also plays for City, joined Dean Saunders’ side in October.
Williamson has made just one appearance for Man City, coming on as a substitute for Richard Dunne against Portsmouth in April 2008.
Williamson celebrated his 21st birthday on October 15.
The Robins are currently eighth in the Blue Square Premier table with thirty points from fourteen games, ten behind leaders Histon.

Torres out for another two weeks with hamstring strain
Just as Liverpool thought that their star striker had recovered from his hamstring injury, new scans have reveaed that Fernando Torres will be out of action for another two to three weeks. Torres strained his right hamstring in Liverpool’s 1-0 win over Marseille on Wednesday. He played the full ninety minutes in the game, which Liverpool won thanks to Steven Gerrard’s early headed goal.

Torres will now miss Monday’s game against West Ham, as well as the games against Blackburn, PSV Eindhoven and Hull City. He may return for Liverpool’s big game against Arsenal four days before Christmas.

Man City release 10 players
Manchester City have confirmed that they are releasing 10 of their players as they aim to qualify for Europe next season with Mark Hughes as their manager.
The 10 are
Geovanni ( Brazil) ( Joined on a one year contract in July 2007)
Emile Mpenza ( Belgium) ( Joined on a free transfer in February 2007)
