Henry, 32, joins the Red Bulls from La Liga giants Barcelona.

The Red Bulls have announced that Henry will be their second designated player and stated that he had signed a multi year contract.

Henry is expected to make his Red Bulls debut on July 22 against Tottenham Hotspur.

The surgery was performed by Dr. Ulrike Muschaweck in her Munich clinic in Germany. Dr Muschaweck also operated on Marcelo Gallardo and Gonzalo Peralta earlier this week.

Moreno, the first Bolivian to play in the Premiership, is the MLS’ all time record goal scorer, with over 110 goals to his name. He is also DC United’s captain.
